Is Part 91 Corp Flight Ops considered "essent

Flight crews appear to be exempt from various travel bans, restrictions, quarantines etc. One could presume it's directed toward commercial flight crews, but what about part 91 corp flight departments or those flying for a sole owner?

Don’t know.
Best guess?
Is the flight in furtherance of the owners business and is that business deemed essential?
Or is this a party flight to Fantasy Island?

We, Part 91, haven’t had a question raised on being “essential”.

As long as you are in uniform, most hotels don't/won't care..they assume you are essential. Some area's did have rules in place and we're asking people for their letter at check-in, but like I said, haven't had anybody ask, since I am usually traveling in uniform. Have heard of a employee with us that did get asked for his letter wearing his regular clothes at check-in at a hotel.

Letter? What letter?

Anyone flown to Europe under part 91 corporate ops?

It probably depends on your company’s business, and if your chief counsel can issue an essential letter. Our company manufactures many healthcare products including ventilators and masks, so we were issued essential worker letters back in March.

I left the US on Saturday and delivered an aircraft to LFSB. Stayed the day and left to MUC that evening.
Short night in MUC, 0645 dept to AMS and then on to DFW.

Not one question from anyone abroad. Customs in LFSB barley stamped our passports and bailed.
MUC only asked if i had liquids and AMS only cared where I was going.

The US medical officials met me immediately after deplaning to see if I had been to Iran, China or Brazil in the last few days......have you had a cough or fever or not felt well.
No, No and No.

"Ok...please go home a self isolate for 14 days"

Global Entry denied my easy pass through and required me to go see an agent.
US Customs wanted to know what kind of business I was doing the Europe. Zero question after stating that I was delivering an aircraft.

Very easy process as usual.

Upon landing in LFSB, we waited about 5-10 mins for the individual to arrive. She stamped our passports and didn’t ask a single question.
At the terminals of Basel and Munich....no questions asked.
The Passport control at EHAM simply asked where I was going on my flight out of EHAM.
On arrival into DFW, customs asked what I was doing in Europe and what type of business I was doing.

The health “officials” that met us immediately after deplaning were the ones who stated go home and quarantine for 14 days.

I left for the Toronto area a few days later. Before leaving Canada..eh....US CBP had my name flagged for European travel and wanted to know what I had been doing there. I told them I had letters showing what the purpose of travel. Upon arrival into the US, not one question asked by our US CBP.
