This is just a signal that things are getting worse. I hope the vaccine will work, so that we get back to the real normal as we knew it before COVID. The new normal really sucks.

That would be ideal, but they don't intend for us to go back to normal. They're already talking about indefinite masking and social distancing, vaccine passports, and endless "new variants." If you're still working, enjoy it for now.
