Transcript excerpt and presentation link
This link has video replay and a pdf transcript to the just-held UPS investor and analyst day.
The quote below regarding MD-11 planning is cut-pasted from the transcript. It comes from the Q&A portion of the presentation.

“Carol Tomé: We're just taking a different look at how we allocate capital than in the past. Think about the growth that we're going to have outside of the United States. Most of that is asset light. Now we do need aircraft. The dollars that Brian described to you that we'll be spending over the next 3 years, we've got plans to acquire about 27 aircraft.
Some of that includes the big freighters that Scott needs to move cargo around the world. Some of it is actually replacing our older MD11 fleet. We've got about 40 MD11s. They’re average age -- they're the oldest aircraft we have in our fleet, the average age is up 27 years. So we're going to start to replace those aircraft at the end of this 3-year period. So that's just will almost become like maintenance spending, I think.
As you heard from Nando, we're expanding capacity by expanding weekend. We're not spending capital on that or we're spending some expense dollars. You might talk, Nando, what it means to expand the weekend.”

I was curious as well how that matches up to known orders. Id be surprised if those electric aircraft are part of those 27. As far as I can see those are still concept aircraft with no firm plans for production. Maybe im wrong though.

I think she is mixing planes Atlanta is thinking about ordering with planes we have firm orders for. It sounds like, the MD replacement is about maintaining capacity, not growth. Hence, the maintenance comment. Just a somewhat odd approach to airline/aircraft stuff. Of course, this is UPS and she is used to selling garden supplies.

They’re advertising that that 777-300ERSF will have 25% more volume available in comparison to the production 777F.
However, it will only have a MGTOW that’s 9k lbs more than the 777F.
777F MGTOW = 766k lbs
777-300ERSF MGTOW = 775k lbs
Would be a good jet for routes where cube out occurs before weight becomes limiting.
