Default NRT Terminal Transfer

Anyone know if this is possible under COVID restrictions? As a foreigner can you fly into terminal 2 in NRT & connect to an outbound flight in terminal 1, or is it not possible to transit between terminals? Thanks

No first hand knowledge recently... However prior to this stink stuff they had a shuttle bus between T1 & T2 that was from one secure area to the next and you did not exit... It's been a while though and things have for sure changed... Good luck J-land is a bit on the Silly Side these days with restrictions...

I used to get on the inter terminal Bus by flashing badge, usually in uniform.
I would say right now if you do not have a boarding pass there would be problems.

As an update, transfer passengers between terminals use the bus- there is no exiting immigration to get to your connection terminal. Process is easy & organized. Non-reving on 2 different airlines is an issue though. Most airlines will not board you unless you have a confirmed ticket outbound from Japan. If it’s the same airline both legs (e.g., UAL SFO-NRT-GUM) they may let you non-rev the whole way. But if it’s 2 different airlines, you have to purchase a departure from JP in advance.
