Default Mountain Aviation or Jet Edge?

Flying the same type aircraft, which is the better place to work? Thanks in advance.

I would steer clear of Mountain. I don't know about Jet Edge, but Mountain is really struggling with the influx of new business. Old, busted airplanes and scheduling is consistently behind the eight ball. I think they have potential in the future if they get it together, but for now I would not advise anyone to go there.

I know someone who left Mountain after a few months. They work their Citation X pilots very hard and people with previous 121 flying probably don’t adapt well to it. If you have prior experience in a rigorous, fast-paced 135 environment and want to work hard on the X, maybe it will work for you…

Regarding JetEdge, I am still not clear on whether they have returned to pre-Covid wage levels yet. No doubt they are growing with many CL300s and G450s inbound.

Working at JetEdge is really like any other job, some pilots is ok with it but on the most part most pilots like it. For me it’s ok, really good people here. The company operates on two certificates jet edge and jet select. Most of the challengers 300/350 and 600s and Lear 60s is on the jet select side. We recently changed duty days to 12 hrs instead of 14. Pay on the 300 is CA 140 SIC 85 don’t know the CA for the 600 but the SIC is 95. Company pays for KCM also an iPad allowance of 500 every 3 years, most hotels is Marriotts and occasionally Hiltons, you get to keep all your points. Crew meals can be requested when you have a super early departure or working right through lunch. The company operates gulfstreams, legacy, Globals, Falcons, challengers, 2 Lear 60s and about 2 BBjs. I believe in total we’re about 80 airframes. Things can be much better but am not complaining because it can be a whole lot worse.
