Quote: Bring back Jetlink! Best of luck to you still there!
Unable due to Jet Lynx taking the Jet Lynx call sign with ASA dropped the Jetlink name and going with gaycy.

Quote: Unlikely. ACEY "AC" call sign was named after Asa Candler founder of the Coca-Cola Company. Before AC I believe the call sign was Candler.
Quote: I believe it was actually ‘ASEA’ as in Atlantic SouthEast Airlines. Then after a guard unit had similar phonetics they went to ‘Candler’ as in your afore mentioned soda jerk. It returned to ACEY sometime around 2010ish after the guard unit changed.
The original callsign was "Acey" for the airline's ATC identifier ASE. Then it was changed to "Candler" because yes, some guard unit in NM had a similar callsign, and someone claimed they were confused. Then that guard unit disbanded, and it was changed back to "Acey", but the ATC identifier was ASQ.

ASA’s “Acey” and “Candler”call signs had nothing to do with Atlanta based Coca Cola owner Asa Candler? If not, that’s one heck of a coincidence!
