Default Power of social media on hiring

Fly with garrett shows that social media has more influence than resume stats etc. Should more pilots follow and start social media accounts? Will number of followers dictate hiring preference now?

Given that the Envoy social media policy says you are not allowed to publish pictures of yourself in uniform, I doubt this is a good idea.

The higher ups at Envoy have said they usually ignore most social media and/or guiding principle violations, but if they want to get rid of someone, the rules are so restrictive they can always find something to fire people over.

You want to own a landscaping business as a side hustle? Need a written permission from a manager.
Post a picture of any company equipment (like a picture of a 175 or whatever) or yourself in a uniform? Not allowed.

Eh, come again? If you are doing a side hustle flying you need permission. No permission required for regular side-businesses.
