We (AA) led the pack in terms of widebody tails parked. Straight vertical cuts in 7ER and A330 fleets. Gone. Fin. After that, we have 14(?) 78’s sitting on the Boeing lot, to be delivered...sometime in the future.
So yeah, the net effect has been bifurcation of the NB vs WB CA seniority numbers. NB will continue to edge lower (always someone willing to jump on that LGA grenade), but until long haul intl recovers enough to warrant a new purchase order, this is not the WB airline it was two years ago, not even close.
Today’s seniority calculator says I’ll be on property 18 years before I get a look at WB CA. ...in NY of course (pass).
