-This will be interesting. NetJets will run Lilium's services in Florida using the NJA Part 135 Certificate.

- It's going to be single pilot.

- Lilium is hoping to start commercial service by 2024.

-They also have plans for a larger 10-15 seat model and a different cabin config reducing the 6 seats to an Ultra Premium 4 seats.

That’s all nice and dandy

Lilium is aiming to certify the Lilium Jet and start commercial services in 2024. It has not said when it will start flight testing a preproduction prototype but has told investors that it will release design data to its supply chain during the second quarter of 2022. The company is still flight testing its five-seat technology demonstrator of the ducted fan, fixed-wing model.
Thats a lot of maybe’s and if’s.

Single pilot will be a hard sell.

I guess we'll see how far this one goes.

These are electric VTOL so I doubt the range will be much. Mostly just running around South Florida I think. I could see these bringing the pax to their QS tail at the airport.

I believe they are saying the range will be around 150 miles with a cruise speed of 175mph at 10000ft. It will be single pilot initially and the manufacturers website says they will be autonomous in the future. It will be very interesting to see how they try to negotiate this into the pilot contract and if it will truly get certified and operated by NetJets or anyone.

Good grief I'm glad I'm close to retirement....

New verbiage required. Instead of min fuel, min voltage gonna work? Or a Traffic song comes to mind and fits this era perfectly. “The Low Spark of High Healed Boys”.

"The best safety device in any aircraft is a well-trained crew." Berkshire Hathaway acquired FlightSafety in late 1996. Albert Lee Ueltschi - Wikipedia

Warren loved throwing this line around.

Pilotless vehicles would be a major misstep in safety for BRK. Single pilot doesn’t fit the safety envelope promised and sold either.

Besides… who would do the Lav and give the multi service number….?

This VTOL will be parked next to the Aerion in the hangar.

Puff piece.

Is it me, or is anyone else getting Aerion vibes from all of this???
