Default Seattle to Manila on Turkish

So has anyone flown Turkish? I didn't even know it flies out of Seattle, but apparently it does, on the way to Manila. Should I fly it? Or try my usual ANA?

My understanding is that life, except for inflation, is more or less back to normal in Manila. Can anyone who has been there recently comment?

Thanks.

I have flown Turkish.

I have not flown ANA.

I have not been to Manila.

I think I would pick ANA especially if the cost were the same. ANA has a better safety record and (I assume) better service. Turkish has a sketchy safety record and in my opinion average service.

I flew Turkish quite a bit with a few serious long-hauls. Istanbul-San Fran, Istanbul-Chicago, Istanbul-Atlanta. Can’t speak to the safety aspects, but I always thought the service was pretty good…decent food too. I can only remember one late departure due to weather in Istanbul. I also thought their lounges were very well done.

I’ve ridden Turkish a few times but it’s been a few years. Their service in business class was good and their lounges at the old Istanbul airport were over the top. They had their movie theater in the terminal.

Manila is kind of back to normal. They have started to put some restrictions back in place but nothing as bad as the total lockdown they were under a little bit ago. If you're not a Filipino citizen make sure that you get your visa before going. My wife traveled there recently and an American forgot to apply for a visa and was denied entry at NAIA. Face masks and shields are still being used , I don't believe they are doing the hotel quarantine anymore, just the negative test before arrival. I would also recommend ANA, probably the best Airline that I had the pleasure of flying and the HND airport is pretty nice with some good food options in the terminal.
