So relatively a new nickname or copy. Good deal keeping a great name alive. Delta had both and the Mad Dog was the MD-80. Carry on.

Never forget the originator Diesel 10 which everyone flew long ago.

Default New WO regional pay

Alright so I’m sure everyone has heard the new American wholly owned regional contracts. CKA on E145s making $400+/hr, first year FO pay $90. This will definitely keep pilots in the WOs until their flow date. Could be a catalyst for a new contract? Thoughts?

Okay by now im sure everyone has heard the AA WO pay update. $90/hr first year, CKA pay goes up to $400+. Any thoughts on what this means for us? Will it stay the same and we focus on E3 hiring? Or will we get a new contract once classes start to shrink again?

This mean nothing for us, that’s what it means. We just got this CBA a few months ago after arbitration and a long long wait, so sit down and relax
It seems you’re still in training, focus on that and best of luck on the line!.

Need some popcorn, this is going to also have a impact on the contract cycle at the Majors and ULCC…

Things will get interesting. Chatting with an inspector recently and there is a lot of talk in the industry about DEC's at the majors. Things are not like they used to be back in the day, where people would take any city and even move their family to take command. Now a days the F/O contracts are giving people a good lifestyle and they are not willing to sacrifice anything to get to the left seat. That will create many vacancies left unfilled and airlines will put bodies on seats anyway they can. Even the traditional requirements are being taken away.

I've experienced every cycle since the one at the end of the 80's and this is by far the most dynamic. People are jumping ship for 10 dollars more an hour and being able to hold their homebase. Literally!

I would be shocked if United MEC send out their TA. I highly doubt the rates are much higher than they are at Envoy and Piedmont.

This should help Negotiations at Frontier and Spirit though. Now management will have to come to the table offer in order to compete.

This doesn’t bode well for Air Wisconsin or regionals whose margins can’t match Envoy and Piedmont.

This doesn’t bode well PSA neither. Because management wants SAP and SAP isn’t something that the pilot group will let go lightly. I think the next move for AA in their playbook is to get the CRJ onto another AA WO certificate and threat to give up SAP, take what is offered or shut PSA down…

They’ll be a new CBA about 10 years from now. Till then unless the company gets within a couple days of bankruptcy J.D. won’t give one more penny for the pilot group. As an example, just before C19 we had numerous aircraft parked for lack of crew, the stock had gone from 75 to 14 and you could count the number of new hires for each class on less than one hand.

Classes are full now and the company is making record profits and tied with UPS for amount of freight moved. Mgt could care less about what’s happening at the regionals.

It will be a fight just to get Atlas to implement Qol improvements from last years arbitration. Nine months later there’s still no electronic trip trade/drop open time and reserve system. Everything that benefits the company gets implemented immediately but anything that benefits the pilots or costs money; becomes a multi year “process”. That’s the future at Atlas Air. Fortunately much more viable options for improved compensation and Qol are appearing at other carriers.

The pay raise rumor just won’t die. I heard it again last week, the latest version is 10%.
