I contacted a coordinator today and they said they are prioritizing captains, and are working from low First Officer bases up the list with those that went through LOE last November, this month.

Low First Officer bases meaning low staffed bases? I know I have any listed for IOE, so I’m not sure how that will affect it

Yes, low staffed for a specific base. Choosing any base for the IOE will help your chances, but it’s chronological starting from last November they said. It’s not in the order or seniority- just assigned base and when you completed training. I asked if I switched bases to a low staffed base if that will help my chances- doesn’t sound like it would too much seeing as they are so far out with backlogged FOs.

So what I’m hearing is they are officially starting IOE for FOs now?

So this makes it sound like FO IOE has resumed, but captains still have priority? Any clarification to that?

I just swapped planes with a LCA and the other pilot with him had 3 stripes? So it's either a normal trip but if I was a betting man, I'd say it was IOE.

Call my bluff.

Low staffed base FAT, has an FO scheduled for IOE next week with a seniority in the 4500s. Same thing with DTW, but it’s not low staffed.

I just confirmed with an IOE coordinator, they did indeed begin scheduling new hires at select bases where they are low number of FOs such as FAT. They should have an update from management early next week.

I know that before the FO IOE freeze came, the coordinators were able to provide fairly accurate estimates to when people would hit IOE based on their LOE date. If anyone gets that info, please share on here.
