Quote: Wait 10 years for the 401k, what a joke.
The market is going to tank in November after the election so no big deal on the 401k

Q: Why is there no captain upgrade incentive?

A: Because upgrading is no longer a choice.

"You will report to Denver on XX/XX/20XX and you will upgrade to captain. If you fail, well, SEE YA!"

to may loop holes. Get to 750hrs. Then bid reserve or stand-ups.. collect Captain pay for a year before upgrading..

• 12% Non-elective (Direct) Company Contribution to 401(k) for pilots with
10+ years of service
• Company match and Direct contribution remain 100% immediately vested
for all pilots on property
What is the company contribution to 401k prior to year 10?

Quote: WTH are you talking about? “Good leadership” would be voting “no” for what reason? Just because? That’s a very unfair accusation you just posted.
No, it's not. Lack of QOL improvements is a great reason to vote no. Less than industry leading pay is a good reason to vote no. 401k DX not starting until 10 years is a good reason to vote no. Why not hold the line while you have leverage? What aspect of ****ing away good leverage is synonymous with good leadership?

This second offer is just a re-shuffling of the same pot of money. It's not even a financial improvement over the first.

Presumably a 4 day for another 4 day even if it has less reserves that day.

Allows you to move trips around to get a more commutable trip, better paying etc..

Ok, that has nothing to do with leadership.

If you’re attempting to reason me to switch my vote to “no”, that’s fine, but don’t start making personal accusations.

Do you have any skin in this vote? Did you not just get done claiming in a separate forum SkyWest couldn’t afford the lesser rates of the first TA?

They theoretically can't, but who knows whats in their future contracts.

And yes, being a good leader within your pilot group means voting no on crap deals and educating your FOs on why they should not vote yes on the first bone daddy chip tosses down from his table.

Every airline pilot has a vested interest in this vote, even if they no longer work at SkyWest.
