The 135 I work for in Homer Alaska is looking to add a pilot or 2 this coming spring. Take a look and send us a resume if interested!
Incredible opportunity for pilots looking to join a Part 135 operation. Smokey Bay Air is based in beautiful Homer, Alaska. Homer is a vibrant coastal town, and is on the road system. Smokey Bay Air has a fleet of Cessna 206s and 207s, and offers daily service to the communities of Seldovia, Port Graham, and Nanwalek. Additionally, SBA offers summer time bear viewing tours on the coasts of Lake Clark and Katmai National Parks. Off-airport (beach) training, and bear guide training may be offered to the right candidate. We are looking to provide training for a class in late March, but we are flexible for the right candidate. When fully staffed we will be offering a very attractive schedule, guaranteed time off, with a highly competitive daily rate. This schedule will be year around, including the summer. There will be daily rate escalations based upon time in service. 6 days PTO after one year, 12 days after two years and 18 days after 5 years. We're looking for a motivated individual with excellent flying and interpersonal skills. Required: 1000 PIC with commercial / instrument rating 200 Alaska PIC Preferred: - high performance time - advanced ratings/ broadening experiences (tailwheel experience, SES, multi engine, etc., is a plus) - mountain / off-airport experience - CFI preferred. - Wildlife guiding a plus. We are looking for someone who wants to live/ work in Homer and be home every night! We do an interview process with a flight evaluation before making hiring decisions. Candidate must be willing / able to relocate to Homer when hired. Must be able to lift over 50 lbs.
