The RA is there for several specific purposes. Cross-checking with baro altitude is not one of them. Do I use it for that? Yes, but only at a couple airports where I know exactly what and where to expect.
If it speaks out “one hundred feet” and you don’t see anything on a see to land RNAV approach you need to think! I always have the distance to the runway threshold on my side and do a mental 3 to 1 in normal ops backup to try and catch mistakes like this.
