I have had a lot of trouble finding many options near Richmond. Several doctors I have used in the past have retired and there isn’t really anybody new. I use Dr. Simpson in Mechanicsville but he is semi-retired and only works one day (or maybe two) a week.

I live walking distance to Dr. Simpson and drive to UVA medical center quite frequently, it takes me right at an hour, to give you an idea on drive time.

Finally connected with this gent.
Thought I'd post his contact info here in case anyone else was looking for someone in the area.

Russell Stankiewicz, MD
FAA Senior Medical Examiner

144 A Resource Lane / Suite C / Louisa, VA / 23093

Nice guy!
Long-time airplane owner.
Very willing to discuss general health, nutrition, and proactive/preventative stuff.

No web presence that I was able to find. Simply called his number, spoke directly with him and made an appointment.
He's an OBGYN during the week. Does medical exams on some Saturdays.

Office was a little hard to find. It's in a community building.
Look for the airplane model in the window (when you pull into the parking lot)... that's his office.

I used Dr Simpson for three years but he is fully retired now.
