Technically the phrase "House" and "Congress" is interchangeable while "The Senate" is its own separate entity. Yeah I agree it makes no sense but whatever, meh.

And “passed” and actually accomplished are two different things. Note the date…

In 99.9% of situations "The House" means the House of Representatives

In this case, "The House passed it" means just that. It cannot mean "Congress" because "Congress" did not pass it.

The authors over at Flying should have done a better job writing the article.

I disagree. Saying that is like saying a 172 is a jet.

Yeah, Congress is the combined entity. If "Congress" passed a bill it's going to the big guy for signature.

Will the Big Guy get his 10% on this deal?

I agree and I don't really understand why mainstream media reports on bills that pass one chamber and have 0% chance of passing in the other. More egregiously they do this while ignoring the thousands of NPRMs that could actually affect reader's lives.

good points, I agree

the media, even trade-specific magazines such as Flying, bungle stuff left and right. We have all seen helicopter crashes reported as "Cessna crashed"

police shootings are even worse, the convicted murderer-and-fleeing escaped felon discharges a round at officers and suddenly the police "over reacted" when they lit him up

remember, if it is on the news or TikTok, it is true
