Hello everyone,

I hope you all are doing well! Is it better to apply on NetJets website or do it via airlineapps.com? Thanks in advance!

Use airline apps… That way you can get all your regional and ULCC apps in as well. Don’t believe stories of huge FDP and lots of VED’s. Plan base pay and 7/7 schedule as an SIC

You forgot 12-12 scheduling, crappy hotels, no crew food, and late night day 7 returns.

Carry on.

12 hour overnights are kind of on the long end there. The guys I'm talking to are getting around 11.

Many exaggerate, but I do believe the average is probably going down and will probably continue to go down. They keep the overall average higher by starting pilots late on the last day (long last night off) and getting them home late. This gives more coverage later that day and helps keep them above the overall average threshold before OT starts at 11 hours the next year. I won't be surprised if it drops far enough this year to pay OT earlier for next year.

How are you guys working long days and also not getting much FDP? Lots of waiting between flights?

Exactly. Showing at 0600 for a 10 AM takeoff. Landing at 5 PM and sitting for 3 hours "just in case." Flying a 1 hour leg at 0700 and another 1 hour leg at 3 PM. A model of inefficiency.

Their productivity metric in the Ops Center is number of duty hours per day. They shoot for at least 10. About the only time you'll have fewer is going home or when the jet breaks 7-8 hours into your day and there isn't enough time to bounce you to another airplane.

The productivity measurement SHOULD BE number of flight hours per duty hour. But that might mean an improvement in road QOL and we can't be having that.
