Quote: Completely agree. I was offered a class at Brown and turned it down. I like living in base and having the option of gateway if I should choose to live elsewhere. I like the flying at Atlas. If I wanted to go to FedEx I would’ve applied. They do have good catering though. But they also work a lot. I like my 2-3 day layovers.
Work a lot? NOot from the scheduling I see day in and day out. Average flying time is only about 4hrs/day with 16 days off. Guarantee? 75hrs/mo. That isn't working in my book.

Sounds like a lot compared to our schedules.

Seriously, I have only flown 8 legs in 2023. SCDY through the winter is the place to be if you want to be paid for doing almost nothing. I think I actually have more days "mid-pattern" at home in Germany than legs this year.

Things here must be picking up because my 60 day secondary has been filled almost entirely. Winter was very quiet though, only flew twice in 2 months.

You're working way too hard... I've flown 7 legs since October.

I really did love my job at Atlas though and I do miss those 3 day layovers in places like AMS, HNL, ANC or HKG. Nothing beats working 2 days a month and being home to raise my kids.

That is really good and definitely the best for raising kids hands down no argument there. Probably narrow body flying / reserve living at the main hub so kind of different than what you did on our 74. Could be wrong and you’re the master of the MD or Purple Toolbox (triple7) and living in MEM and being on reserve as well is another guess but highly improbable. Please correct me as you see fit.

well next month I work 12 days with 18 off and all my work days are Miami turns out of CVG so home every night. So yeah, seems like work over there. But your purple paycheck is better I’m sure. But I can live on 280k a year and be home almost all the time.
