Is PSA actually starting first officers at this point?
How soon after an interview are people hearing anything?

Yes, seems like they are starting back up in June. Friend of mine start second week of June. A lot like Republic the new CJO's have a lot tied to them for the first 24 months. ATP/CTP, Type rating, and any bonus to be paid back if you leave.

I was afraid that was going to catch on. It'll spread like wildfire now.

What kind of experience does your friend have?

I was interviewed back in November last year and didn't hear anything until I received a call over this past weekend for an available class coming up in June. However, the $15k bonus that I signed up for in November was not being offered to me any longer. Even though I signed the job offer back in November that was with the 15k bonus.

I politely declined.

Would be great to see a copy of it to see how closely it ties to the Republic agreement that was posted on Reddit (and shared in the Republic subform here). 2 years isn't awful if that's all it is and not 2 years CA + FO time to get there. But the other fine print of their contract is bordering on barbaric.

It sounds like it is nowhere near as bad as Republic but the trend seems to be headed that way. With his situation and age its a no brainer as he'll be R-ATP for 2 years.

I think the 2 year FO thing has been in place for a while, and would agree that that's nowhere near as bad as the Republic deal.

All of that said, in an environment where LCCs are hiring at 1,500 hours, well that's a bold move there, hope it works out for you.

Because I haven't looked lately, any LCCs offering the CTP in house these days?

Doesn't appear to be based on posted positions:

Spirit wants unrestricted ATP in hand with 1500 hours TT, but gives preference to 2500TT/750 multi/turboprop/jet and A320 type.

Frontier wants ATP in hand and 1500 total(2500 preferred) *AND* 750ME with 500 jet/turboprop
