How large a base is 220 in NYC? Red Eyes? Overall impression?

I think at its max there were around 230 FO’s in the NYC220b category. Due to engine parts shortages and delivery delays it has shrunk down to around 195. The category is expected to shrink further as people bid to other categories and it is not being backfilled. Flying is pretty good with very very few red eyes. Lots of Texas, Chicago layovers with a good mix of west coast if you don’t mind generally starting earlier.

200+ in each seat before the engine issues stopped the music. They haven’t backfilled anyone on the A side and the CPO and crew resources say to not expect any backfill until Q3 at the earliest (probably Q4).

Lots of DHs and trips with tons of credit, which is a result of the drawdown. The last two months, if you were senior enough and live in Kansas City, you could have had all of your trips start and end there.

Fleet restoration will hopefully start later this year. Growth will resume next year.
