You could set up your own non-profit, no-fee, no-ad equivalent. You'd quickly learn about the dollar cost of complying with various privacy and data security laws, and occasional legal entanglements, so hopefully you'd be willing to invest very significant sums of money to support your ongoing hobby. Websites have to comply with the highest common-denominator jurisdiction where their users might be located, such as California or Europe.

huh? What does that have to do with fixing a few pages of text that has zero legal obligation to accurate and could easily be crowd sourced for free…?

That's how it was supposed to work, but any troll or bot could submit info and the staff doesn't have the in-depth industry SA to vet it all. Which is why we're trying crowdsourcing with guardrails (known users and my industry SA as a sanity check).

You could actually incur legal hassles if you post bogus info about a company, and represent that it's accurate. They understandably don't want to risk dealing with that. Also many of those airlines are ad customers.

It's not as simple as you think. There's a guy here who created his own version of airline profiles, ask him about it, he may or may not have a different take.

But it's out of our hands regardless, best thing you can do is stop gripping and use the time to send me an update for your airline.

Gojet update: no longer considered an ethical or real airline. Airline profile must be removed. Add to dust bin.

Quote: Folks,

Internet Brands is looking to update the following airline profiles.
  • United Airlines
  • Delta Airlines
  • Southwest Airlines
  • Ravn Alaska
  • Kalitta
  • Air Canada

If you work for one of them and want to assist, please send me via pmail the following info. If your airline isn't listed above but needs updates, I'll take those also.

Pay Tables
Pilot Group Size
Domiciles
Any additional update items

Reference the existing profiles for the format. If you can't attach something in pmail, I'll provide an email addy (via pmail).

I'd prefer updates from established users, so IB knows there's some credibility.

Thanks in advance for helping out.
Rick,

UPS payrates are way behind, I can send you a PDF of Extension 2022 payrates (thru 1Sept25) if you want. I pinged IB and said the same..
