Quote: Daniel,

I get heartburn from eating spicy meatballs and hot peppers, not from reading your, or for that matter, anyone else's posts. And I do recognize the fact, as you stated, that you've no "inside information", my only concern is that when we state opinions in certain ways, they can be easily misconstrued as facts. That's all, plain and simple. I think you put a lot of effort into your posts, and I look forward to reading them, unlike some others here, whose posts resemble that of a 5th grader from the Memphis public school system.

Regards,

JJ
No worries, I didn't think you got heartburn, I was just looking for a more interesting way to say something. I certainly didn't mean for my post to come across as fact, just some speculative info on what is an amazingly complicated subject: ALPA politics. It's like pulling the proverbial piece of string when you dive into it a bit,(at least to me) and I was just trying to share some of that. I won't even mess with Memphis public school system stuff......................

Quote: It's hard to understand why the vote was 7-4, when it is, without a doubt an improvement of the original LOA. Don't get me wrong, I still think it is a terrible deal.

These guys baffle me, I must admit. Why would they vote 11-1 on the original, then change to 7-4 on a better deal?

Could anyone provide a rational explanation for this???

Ron White says "You can't fix stupid" So don't try to figure it out either.

"Based on discussions during the meeting, the MEC passed a resolution, by a vote of 7 to 4, adopting the company’s proposed modification."
11+1=12
7+4=11

who didn't vote?

We count, normally using base 4, since there are only 4 tines on a plastic fork!
