Land of milk and honey. I could live there forever.

You must visit Agrigento (Valley of the Temples), Siracusa, Piazza Armerina (The Bikini Girls mosaic at the Villa Romana del Casale), and my most favorite, Catania.

Right in downtown Catania, there is a small fast food pizza place. You sit down on the little counter and tell the proprietor the kind of pizza you want. He has drawers full of little dough balls, which he will take out, flatten, put on the ingredients and stick it into the brick oven. I love the margherita pizza washed down with agua frizzante.

Like I said, I could live there forever. Drink limoncello forever.

Without question the best Italian restaurant in the world is in Catania. I assume it's still there, I haven't been there in 5 years. It was called the Trattoria Rinaldo. If you're at the hotel that I think was called "The Palace", (you'll know it because it's the nicest hotel downtown) go out the front, turn right, go 2 or 3 blocks then it's right another 1 or 2 blocks. Look for the red hanging sign.

I think the best places to eat were up in Motta, either Paradise or Atsi Trecia (sp?) I probably butchered the spelling of that last one but they had the best french onion soup I have ever had.

When I was in Sicily, I had spaghetti con vongole every single night as my primi. Every restaurant I went to served it differently, but all were excellent. The best ones were those without an English menu and you could see Mama Serafina in the kitchen.
