Alright, got a dozy of a search for you guys. I'm looking for an article I read this past summer (2007). Unfortunately, I don't remember what magazine it was in, but it was in an aviation magazine at the local FBO.

The article was written by a guy who got to fly a Gulfstream G550, and basically covered the flight that they took. The important things I remember from the article was describing climbing to FL450 or so and doing steep turns, and how that was unusual. Also, I remember them showing off the automatic emergency descent feature of the G550. When they manually upped the cabin pressure, the plane started an emergency descent to 15,000 ft. They said something about the descent rate difference between having spoilers in or not (5500 to 8000 fpm or something like that).

That is your mission. Did anyone else read this? What was the magazine, and when was it published? Thanks for your help!

I'll have to look at that one, but that wasn't it. The article was written from the first person, and the whole thing was talking about one guys experience on one flight in the GV. Thanks though!
