In this day and age of "what's in it for me" I think the ASA MEC and negotiating group should get congratulated for two items:
1. Reciprocity. SkyWest pilots transferred to ASA will be treated the same way that our contract dictates ASA pilots transferred to SkyWest should be treated. Cuts down on the whip-shawing.
2. Preferential Hiring. Furloughed Delta pilots get preferential hiring. Yeah, today that does not mean much. But it probably did 5 years ago when this was negotiated and cost the pilot group negotiating capital to actually have this put into the contract.
