Just be patient. It sometimes takes a 6-8 weeks.

I sent one about a month ago too, and still have not heard either. I am thinking about sending another one.

I wouldn't do that. I have heard of cases where repeat submittals can get you thrown out. Before flying commercially I was in HR for a few years (in a hiring capacity). One thing I found was- with some many applicants to look at time really drags. One thing I know for sure- I never hired anyone who bugged me about a job.

I would say they have a 1000 resumes emails. Be patient they'll get to you.
And apply to others places as well.

Loudgarret Driver,

Thanks for the advice, I haven't sent another one yet. I'll guess I will just wait and I have applied to a few others and will be applying to Commutair after the holidays. They are supposed to be hiring then. They are transitioning Saabs in Feb and retiring the BE1900's completly by June so they are in the process of figuring out how to do that. Thanks again.

Where did you hear that? My friend works there and has heard rumors but no solid announcement from the company. I talked to him a few days ago, maybe something has changed since then.

Fosters,

I have a friend who is a very senior capt and teaches some ground schools classes too. I'd rather not say who but, what I can tell you is what he told me that is in Feb the first delivery of Saabs is supposed to happen and by June their whole fleet is supposed to be Saabs. They are just having trouble figuring out how it is all going to work out with placing present Capts into left seats of Saabs or hiring street capts. It is kind of a mess now figuring out how to transition. I think they are trying to avoid having two people flying the Saab and neither having previous experience on it.

I've heard that if you go to one of AWAC's recruiting sessions then you are pretty much guaranteed an interview. They usually post the dates of these sessions on the website www.airwis.com. Good luck!

CRJason,

The recruiting session interview thing is very true. My friend applied, got nothing, had a friend walk his resume in and still got nothing in response. Finally, went to a recruitment session and was given an interview with less than the posted minimums. Hes now in the new hire class for the CRJ. Just trying to help everyone determine the fact from fiction :-)
