Quote: On-demand freight, and no I'm not furloughed. With the way the regionals have been hiring it seems now would be a good time to make a move, even if it is a move back wards for alittle while. What's wrong with looking at 3 different carriers? I haven't worked for 3 different carriers, I'm going into my 4th year working for the same 135 operator that I hired on with at only 800hrs. I personally wouldn't think it would be very smart to only look at one job and not consider any other options.
Actually I was referring to skid's comment about where he worked (it's now edited out) so sorry for the confusion. You're right though, with today's market you should be looking at multiple carriers.

I would definately second the looking at all carriers. Although I was one of the unhappy few at first, CMP has since righted everything for the most part. I honestly have no direct complaints at this time. There are a few things that bug me but they are things that come w/ the job at any carrier. I have actually been enjoying my job again. I went through such a long run of dreading every bid that I guess maybe my view is skewed now.
I know one could do ALOT worse than working at CMP...
I also agree that the training pay is a joke though. Everyone agrees it takes more than 15 hours to complete so maybe that will be fixed in the future. My recomendation until then though is too keep the previous job while studying for the next. Seems to have worked for a few guys I have met already.
