Alpha One Airlines

Hi guys,

First off I'm new to APC and I think its a great website, It really helped me out in chosing where to train for my pilot's licenses. Anyways enough of me and lets get back to the thread. I was just reading in the news paper when I came across this article. It said "School dropout Launches own airline" Its about a 19 year old teenager in the UK thats was finding it difficult to find a job in the indusrty. So he decided to open up his own airline. The 19 year old droped out of his A-level studies to get his commercial pilots license and will also be one of the pilots that will fly for this new airline. He named it Alpha One Airlines, and and operations started November 21, if anyone would like to visit the website its http://www.flyalpha1.com/

very similar to what I am trying to do. I am 21yrs old. It started as a senior thesis project for college to create a business plan for an airline. I have been getting some Stats back saying it could in fact be successful. Not only is it part 121 but 135 charters with TNT and GWV companies. I have a friend who is starting a charter brokering company so we can work together and he will get the charters and I'll supply the planes. I have been networking to try get investors interested. So I'll just have surround myself with people who know how to manage money. I'll see how it works out.

Alpha One In Trouble?!?!??
According to a public encyclopedia called "Wikipedia", which can be found using virtually any search engine, Alpha One Airways has ceased all flying operations since December of 2005. It also said the airline never recieved its first J-31, and has not resumed its scheduled flights in January of the new year....
Things certainly look rough right now, but there is always the hope that the airline will pull through. It will be a shame if the company fails........
