NWA pilots,

I wish you the best in the judges ruling. Stay strong, and stay UNITED.

KillBill,

Wow, how insightful. All I was trying to do was offer a little support for our fellow pilots. You on the other hand.....

Given what occured at United, perhaps a better choice of words would be to stay Unified.

I am a 56 yr. old A330 Capt at NWA. I, along with most of the other pilots at NWA, have decided enough is enough. I just hope management understands that. It would be very sad to see NWA disappear

Maddog, or anyone else who knows,
I am just curious, and trying to learn, why did the NWA pilots not back the MX strike?

MX Strike
At that point in time, the union felt that had the pilots conducted a sympathy strike the Company would immediately file Chapter 11 which was what we were trying to avoid at all costs. in 20/20 hindsight maybe we should have and got this process started sooner. It has also been the policy of all the unions at NWA not to actively seek support from other unions during a work stoppage but to let each group decide for themselves what is in the best interest of their group. Accordingly, we did not ask AMFA to support us the last time we went out. I hope that answers your question. Whether those are good policies, only time will tell

my comment WAS in support of the NW pilots. they should be withholding their enthusiasm by not doing the hundreds of things every day pilots do to keep the airline on-time, etc.

what, exactly, did you think i meant?

and, yes, i absolutely wish the NW pilots the very best. they are going to be the tip of the spear for a lot of reasons and i respect and honor them for that.
