Air Force Reserve Questions

I am 23 and currently flying right seat in Lears for a 135 carrier. But I would really like to get into an Air Force Reserve Unit. I have already taken all the tests and my packaged has been picked by the boards so all I need is a unit to sponsor me. So my questions are what units are easiest to get into (geogrpahically and airplane wise) and how to go about getting these units to pick me up? It seems like the Air Force does not need pilots right now so maybe I am wasting my time. Any help is appreciated.

Go to www.baseops.net and click on the "aviation jobs" listing link at the top of the page. You will link to a boat load of job openings in the guard/reserve. They are ALWAYS hiring! Especially in the C-130 units. The guard/reserve options are endless with the Herc if you are just looking for part time work. Good Luck!

Lots of 135 units hiring as well. If you're willing to fly
130s or 135s, you can pretty much go anywhere-- assuming you are open to ANG possibilities as well.

Try Hawaii or Bangor 135s. I hear they are easy to get in with... Yea, right.
Real advice - research the BRAC unis affected. that will save some hastle in applying to a unit that is only going to close or move in another 1-2 years.
