They did some hiring this summer but the last 100 will be parked in December. Some PFE's will get furloughed and perhaps FOs unless 400 training picks up. Next 400 is scheduled next summer but they are hinting one or two may show up early 2009. Labor unrest is growing, informational picketing has started. Billboard truck was driving around the cargo facts conference the last couple of days and picketing is planned at JFK Oct 27th. Come and join the fun!

Why don't all the ACMI guys just form a single union? Maybe then we can get some attention! Just a thought! Not ALPA, not Teamsters, but a group that just caters to the ACMI guys. Just a thought. Any comments?

Its a good idea. I just wonder how many would sign onto something like this in order to make it workable?

Updates for 2009
Any updates since Nov. 08 other than these? Additional 744's, shrinking 742 fleet?
Furloughed 17 FO's 01/09
Furloughed 3 FO's 02/09
20 FO's on furlough, 13 FE's on furlough
retired 1 741 12/08
Jade contract is a no go
opened PAE 744 base
Not much on the ACMI carriers on the boards these days, just looking to keep the non-purple and brown info going
