Quote: Did you find the guy who left his reading glasses in the recliner room?
I don't think we found that individual. IIRC, we paged that there was a set of reading glasses found in the recliner room, but no one came up. The one thing we find the most of is probably reading glasses.

And the occasional laptop!

Quote: I recently lost a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses on a 72. I asked the folks at the coordination desk if they were turned in, and they informed me that they have two lost and founds. One contains less expensive items and the other contains items that are quite expensive. The less expensive items are displayed publicly in the normal spot. The higher value items are kept in a box behind the coordination desk.

I post this b/c there were several items that were of value in the box. If you lost some nice glasses or expensive electronics, ask the guys to check the box behind the counter.
JDriver:

I was logging on to APC to see if there was a lost and found forum and saw your post.

I found a pair of Ray Bans on aircraft #494 on my last trip (I got back home last night). I back end deviated and haven't been to Mempho since I found 'em. PM me with a description and I'll get 'em back to you.

Folks,
Its seems that I have some good luck. FredEx found em'!

Seriously...there are some very expensive items in that lost & found box. If you remember to mention the box to the guys/gals we fly with, they may be as lucky as I am.

JDriver,

You are lucky indeed. A few years ago, after a flight into MEM, we were being driven by the crewbus, back to the AOC. My bag was on the shelf directly opposite the door when the driver had to swerve to avoid a tug. My bag went flying and ended up in the door well, slightly pushing the double doors open. When we got to the AOC, I retrieved my bag, only to realize my prescription sunglasses (which cost about $400) had not only fallen out of my bag, but had exited the bus. The driver and I retraced our track, but to no avail. I wondered if the company would pay (I know, I know) to have them replaced, and so I asked my ACP, who told me that "No", the company would not pay for them, and to "just submit the claim to my insurance company." You are lucky indeed. Sounds like you owe FredEx an adult beverage.

JJ,

I volunteer at the local nursing home and with each of your posts, you're sounding more and more like those depends wearing, alzheimer ridden old guys, "back during WWII .... "

Just like I tell them ... thanks for sharing
