Thanks! We were only at 5000ft...the RVR at ORD when we left was hovering right around 1000 or so, but definitely thicker by the lakefront.

Thanks! I was using a wide angle lens so it seems like it's a little higher than it actually is. We were departing ORD when I took this, so 5000' is just a guess, but that's usually where they leave you until you're south of the city, then they climb you more...
