Here's something. Just back from a LAS turn. NWA layed off 30 full-time ground personnel out there recently (while adding about 8 flights). Now they are short of people (DUH). NWA offering $8.13/hr as a part-timer of fill the void. Unable to hire anyone (No one was stupid enough to take the offerring) SO WHAT DOES NWA DO? Instead of uping the wages, NWA sends 25 full -timers people out their temporarily from DTW for 6 weeks, paided hotel rooms, per-diem, and a $2500 bonus! It boogles the mind that a company's management that is in bankrupcy is so stupid and that the judge allows this to happen.

I would hope that someone brings this to the court's attention.

Not that I really think it will change anything on it's own, but rather as a piece of evidence to show management's ineptness.

It's the game of "Oh look. See how much we are loosing Judge Gropper. We must have deeper consessions from the employees".

Makes me sick!

Classic financial shell game...somebody needs to look good by reducing head count, so he does. The cost of dealing with the fallout is probably accounted for differently or is not his responsibility.
