GO BIG ORANGE

oh, and Eat more Chikkin'
I used to moonlight at Auburn flying recruits in, back before they sitffened the rules on hostesses and hostes. You'd open the door to the King Air, there would be like 4-6 hostesses at the bottom of the stairs, recruit comes off all happy, the pilot then got off and I was left holding the bag.

The bag of intake and nacelle covers and prop locks. It was a heavy burlap bag. And I held it.

He he he, welcome back
Advance Entitlement Consolidated Package
Is out on the Union website. It is not the AE, just info on everything about an AE.
You heard it here first...ATL net loss of about 180-190 widebody captain slots. Gaining a few narrowbody captains, but not much.

DTW about 50-60 777 A and B.
Quote: CAL is pulling back, and they arent in SKYTEAM anymore therefore DAL has lost its feed and codeshare ability in GUM. This is a great time for us to ramp up GUM and set up shop.
FWIW, back when we had (and closed) the FNWA base at GUM, the MEC was told that the viability of a base was highly dependent on getting the MAC Contract in and out of GUM. Specifically the ability to fly GUM-HNL at a guaranteed profit.

Not saying that is the case now, but that contract is certainly a large slice of the GUM revenue pie.

The other change that affected revenue happened years ago. We used to fly a 747 to GUM late at night, sit for 4 hours waiting for curfew to end at NRT, and fly back to NRT with 50000 lbs of fish in the belly and whatever passengers were available. The fish would arrive just in time for the morning fish market in Tokyo. It was known as the Guam-a-rama, it sucked.
180-190 is about 1/2 the 765 and 30% of the 767, given that we are still guessing the 765 is exactly 50%.
It will not GUM either, invalid base.

Anyone else find the term "Advanced Entitlement" a bit ironic?

Try MNL, San Miguel, 25 cents

Time to contact your Reps. and the Jumpseat Committee guys, this airline is going to have a lot more commuters than it used to. We should have nothing less than the Pre-merger NWA jumpseat booking window and the Call-in-Honest.
