Northwest payment question???

Does anyone know what the "Claim Payment" checks from Northwest Airlines are? I was furloughed and later resigned from NWA in 2006, but recieved a check in the mail recently. What is this?

That was the settlement we got over the furlough pay that they refused to pay when you got laid off in 03. It was supposed to be around 14000 bucks, but by the time the bankruptcy court got through with it we ended up getting around a third of what they owed us. Better than nothing, I suppose.

Thanks for the reply nwaf16dude.

Do you have any reference material / data / weblinks you can give me to verify this? I am not questioning your response for I did not ever recieve my "furlough pay" entitled via our contract. However, other pay / furlough / retirement issues are "in play" with my current employer that require more details.

I need to show "due deligence" before depositing the check - APC would probably not survive the legal scrutiny.

Thanks for any leads,
