Tax Write Offs

Subscribe
I just started flying boxes at a part 135 ops and because this is my first ever full time job, I'm new to the whole tax write off thing. I know that you can write off headsets and sunglasses necessary for work. My question is, can you write off your medical exams too? After all, they are necessary for our work. Anything else that an average part 135/121 pilot can write off? Thanks for the help.

This is a pretty old post but I will take a stab at it...for the best answer with the least legal implications I would contact the AOPA help line. They are very knowledgable when it comes to tax writeoffs and what you can and can not do. I have heard of them keeping alot of people out of the audit trap in the past and I am sure they can do the same for you.

Go to Pro-Diem.com for some good suggestions. A good site, I've been using them for 10 years or so.
