Anyone been over to the gym at the new TANG base? If so any feedback? I used to go to the old one occasionally but haven't checked out the new base. Appreciate any feedback.

They actually exercise in the ANG? Please don't spread that rumor around as it will surely ruin the other services' perception of us weekend warriors. Perhaps the base gym is located next to the 4 star hotel that all the ANG pilots are housed in, which would be right next to the swimming pool and the 2000 seat indoor IMAX theater.

Heard recently that there might be 'local only' exclusive hours for the gym facility at the Guard.

Anybody know if this is the case and if so, what the 'commoner' hours are, especially weekend?

Been there once. Way better than old location. Good set of free weights & machines, about 4-5 treadmills, and an elliptical. There is a sign on the door that stipulates hours, but the only restirction I recall is on drill weekend.

The fedex gym in the gucci bldg has more aerobic equipment, but the ang has a better free weight set up. for $5 a visit you get a clean towel and a loaner lock for the locker at the fdx gym.

Only one or two showers at ang, bring your own towel as far as I could tell.
