I just did my first ETOPS flight to HNL a couple weeks ago, but it was in a Part 121 767-400. I'd look up the 135 regs online.

Under 135 operations you need to get approval in your Operation Specs for extended overwater operations. That meaning beyond one hour flying distance from land. I know some operators getting in trouble flying to Bermuda from the East Coast, but only because their OPS SPECS didn't allow the operation...ETOPS is a whole different story on the 121 side of the house.

Since nobody said it yet. ETOPS stands for:

Engines
Turning
Or
Passengers
Swimming

That is the funny way of putting it...
It actually stands for:

Extended-range Twin-engine Operational Performance Standards

and as far as I know, it only applies to 121 ops.
