Default Cathay Pacific payscales

Does anyone know the pay scales at Cathay Pacific. I saw that they are planning on doing some hiring in the near future and was curious on their pay as well as benefits...

For Cargo:
10 year captain is worth 160k
1 year FO is worth 65k

Pax pay is a mistery but a lot higher than cargo. They are saying that pilots are trying to join cargo and pax pay together. Also possible direct entry into pax flying might be possible in the future, now you can only fly cargo as a new hire. Good luck getting in it's going to take a few years, a lot of people trying to get in because the word is that they have the best qol and benefits. Plus the U.S bases.

My friend works there and says the US pilots get treated like ****. He hates it. Be forewarned.

Here are the Cargo scales that we have:

If anyone has corrections, or info on the pax side please send us an update.

Thanks!

You can find out a ton of info on Cathay at www.pprune.com. Look under the Fragrant Harbor section of the message boards and also under the South Asia and Far East section. Cathay does hire into the pax side, but they start as second officers and gradually work their way up to first officer. They also all are required to be based in HK. They do get housing allowances, but I don't know the pay scales.

Perhaps your friend took a job during the hiring ban. I hear those guys often get mistreated.

Pax pay is a mystery because there are about 17 different pay scales. Do a search on Flightinfo. Capt. Underpants posted them once. You've got "A" scale, "B" scale, Australian based, Europe based, North America based, etc, etc.
