Why is it so hard to find out the contracts and pay scales for the EU carriers?

It sure would be nice to know what the LF, BA, AF, and KLM pilots are making and how much/hard they have to work.

Anyone?

Not difficult at all, actually.

Lufthansa - Lufthansa German Airlines jobs, payscales and entry requirements.

British Airways - British Airways jobs, payscales and entry requirements.

Air France/KLM - Air France-KLM jobs, payscales and entry requirements.

oh, thanks.

I wonder why there isn't an APC profile for any of them then?

For BA pilots, flying 900 hours per year, current rates are:

  • Sen Capt....B744...(Year 24)....$251,500 pa... $280 ph.
  • New Capt....B777...(Year 15)....$191,100 pa... $210 ph.
  • Sen F/O......B777...(Year 14)....$150,200 pa... $165 ph.
  • New F/O.....A320...(Year 1).......$95,100 pa... $105 ph.
However, BA pilots have just voted, 94% to 6%, (with 83% of eligible members voting) to accept a reduced T & C agreement negotiated between BALPA and BA, due to the financial situation BA is in.

Under this agreement, basic pay is reduced by 2.61%, flight pay is reduced by 18%, 78 pilots leave through voluntary redundancy (with one year's salary) and several work limits and duty rigs are increased in BA's favour.

The total reduction, in cash terms, is effectively in the order of 8%-10%.

No one believes this round of cuts will be the last, which is why I am one of the 78!
