DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Perform duties and responsibilities as Chief Research Pilot for Flight Operations with the UND Citation II research aircraft. These include: Pilots the Citation on atmospheric research missions. Works under the direction of scientists from the Dept. of Atmospheric Sciences and interacts with project personnel from other institutions to accomplish mission objectives. Works with FAA on arrangements for special flight profiles. Works with research aircraft technician to reconfigure research equipments and other pre and post-deployment tasks. Arranges ground support logistics for field deployments. Tracks maintenance schedules and arranges for maintenance and repairs. Performs maintenance in accordance with FM and UND established procedures. Maintains aeronautical charts. Conducts student ground and flight instruction in various makes of ground trainers and aircraft utilized by the department.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Commercial pilot certificate with ATP certificate.
- 2500 hours total time, 1000 hour PIC, 500 hours multi-engine.
