I burned a CD using some song that my wife had downloaded to her iTunes account. When I tried to import the songs on to my iTunes account so I could put them on my iPhone, it said it could not recognize any of the names or artist on the CD I was trying to import. I had a CD I made a while back from another on-line music store, and iTunes said the same thing about that CD. It also happened on one CD that I bought at a store. Is this some sort of security thing with iTunes so that I would have to buy the songs again directly to my iTunes account? I can still put the songs on my phone, but it will just show up as track 1, track 2 etc. If anyone knows about this, let me know if there is anything I can do to have the title and artist recognized by my account or if, because of security, there is nothing I can do. Thanks.

Just edit Track 1, Track 2 ect. into the titles of the song and google the name of the album for images of the artwork. Best you can do

Thanks. That worked. Is there a way to edit the song so I can add the artist and album name

Right click the song...click "Get Info"...click on the tab "Info" and go from there

Thanks for the help. I'm at a tough position because I'm not good with computers, and my kids aren't old enough to teach me.

hahaha....that won't take too long. Don't worry. My three year old moves makes circles around me. I fear he may use parental controls against me. :-D
