Just curious, but does anyone know what a/c slots are mostly being furloughed by this round? Also, I take it that most of the furloughees are FO's right? Or can they do it by fleet?
Just curious, Good Luck I know how it feels.
If you think for one second that NetJets (the King of fractionals) can furlough in anything but seniority order then you have no idea of anything regarding the fractional world.

NJA furloughing by fleet....sheesh!
What Glassspilot was trying to say is all of the furloughees are FOs and the furloughing is being accomplished in seniority order--just like at a major airline. Some of the fleets are more FO heavy, which is where you probably got that idea. Sorry about that.
wow

Sorry for asking, hope I didn't inconvenience you too much! Guess I know what your # at NJ is. Keep up the positive vibes.

Thanks for the info.
As explained above we're furloughing 'airline style' by seniority.

conventional wisdom leads me to believe the small fleets (Beech, Ultra, Xcel) lost the most people..... Pilots with some seniority tend to bid bigger aircraft like the G-200, Hawker 800, Citation X and Sovereign leaving most junior guys to the smaller aircraft... again just the airlines
Not sure why the Mod edited my post. Looks the same to me.

For the record, I do not have a # at NJA. I just can't understand why anyone would think that NJA would furlough by fleet. The idea of it shows a complete lack of understanding of the entire fractional industry.

ya just don't get it do you

Relax Francis...dude's just asking a question.

Besides, didn't Travel Management cut loose a bunch of pilots a short while back who flew one type, while they were taking deliveries of a new aircraft type?

Furlough-by-fleet may not be in the cards at NJA, but its not exactly unprecedented in aviation...

correctomundo, Tavel Management did fire a bunch of senior guys. I think they were facing out the Falcon 20 (maybe), it was about the time they started bringing in the Chihuahua Jet (Beech jet). wasn't it??
