Quote: I'm pretty shocked and angry that they let that fired FO come on the show and smear his fired captain's name very publicly. What the other two pilots said are accurate, but that FO pretty much ruined it for me. There is a lot more to the story than what he said. They could've showed so many real examples yet they bring up this incident that had nothing to do with the accident/safety and everything to do with a scumbag out to ruin another pilot's career and life. Apparently it wasn't enough that the capt will never be able to work as a pilot ever again, his name is revealed on public TV as a dangerous rule breaker.
What's the rest of the story then? Either the Captain "falsefied" the W&B or he didn't. Did the numbers crossthemselves out or did the Captain do it? I would like to hear the rest of the story, if you know it.

That F/O was clearly a screw up. Listen to the words he was using and the way he presented himself. Now, look at every pilot that you have flown with that looked like that guy and compare.

There was probably a reason they fired him. Maybe he was a problem child beyond tattling on his capt. He was at Colgan for less than a year. Thats not enough time to find out whats safe and whats coloring outside the lines. I feel whatever he says is just out of harsh feelings and misguided rage.

Quote: I hate to say it but this is one of the problems in the industry. Too many are afraid to stand up and tell someone how they feel. I'm sure everyone can think of someone they have flown with who they believe should not be allowed in the cockpit of an airliner. Reading some of the posts over the last year it sounds like Marvin was that type of person. These type of people aren't only at the regionals. Every airline; Legacy, Major, LCC and Regional, has these type of people that somehow have slipped through the cracks. They could be the nicest person in the world but they just don't belong in the cockpit.
Question: Who would you rather fly with? Someone you had to CYA with, or someone that had your back. I'm not discussing the legality of what the captain did. Simply the fact that the F/O broke ranks and didn't give the system time to work.

Quote: It looks like a Skywest uniform, which wouldn't surprise me at all that they would find a Skywest pilot to do this.
Why? As an ASA pilot, I agree with him, and am insulted by the patronizing from the "mainline"....Many of us at the regionals have more experience than many at the "mainline". I have had more than one former ASA pilot tell me that the ASA training department was better than what they experience at their major...including Delta and Southwest.

The "majors" don't really have a great record the last few months....Shall we go over some the recent screw ups at the "majors"?

I was expecting him at any moment to say to Miles "Don't mess with the bull young man, you'll get the horns!".

Maybe they were ghosts.

We had an FO resign in lieu of termination over falsifying the w&b to get his wife on board. The capt got suspended over it.
