Im planning on meeting my sister in South Africa at the end of the month/beginning of April. Im going for the direct flight out of ATL to JNB and then flying down to CPT. We are going to stay in CPT for a couple of days and then head up to Kruger National Park. Can anyone recommend anything in CPT or in JNB? Any recommendations on Safaris? Any info would be much appreciated! Thanks

It's been a number of years ago, but I did have two layovers in Johannesburg and did go on a one day tour of Lion Park (Johannesburg) and had friends who did the multi-day tour of Kruger National Park.

I would suggest that you Google "Kruger National Park" for a start point and perhaps try to contact the South African embassy closest to you.

Jo'burg was an interesting city and although I didn't get to make the trip with the rest of our crew, I've been told that Cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Enjoy it !

There are plenty of great things to see and do in South Africa.
Give yourself time to really explore a couple of areas rather than try and see the whole country in a few days.
The Cape has a fantastic wine growing region if you are into that, there are good restaurants and Table Mountain is worth a visit. The beaches are good too and a trip to Cape Point National Park is great.
Give yourself some time to visit different parts of Kruger from a base camp. That way you can see different wildlife in different habitats.
The southern portion of the part is very different from the northern section.
Overall have fun and be safe, the basics apply such as no walking out and about at night in urban environments with your favorite Rolex on.
Good luck.
I wish I was going too.
