According to this evenings early hot standby briefing, flight ops said all UPS A300s are grounded. Anyone on the MX side have more input?

This will be fun to watch go down. Perhaps UPS management didn't pay someone off on something and the feds brought the hammer down on them.

I bet this has something to do with Mech VS FAA!!! The Mech did mention something about the A300...??

Dude,
I wonder if this would affect us here at Purple? We have lots of A300's also? Or is this just some internal UPS thing?

Not sure if it affects FDX. On another note UPS guys are headed to Memphis to the FDX A300 sim for training in the near future.

I guess someone should try to contact the pilots of the 16 UPS A-300s that are currently airborne as of 11:30 pm EDT to let them know that their planes are grounded. Apparently they, and UPS, must not be aware of this. http://flightaware.com/live/aircraft...time;sort=DESC

Let us know when your Bus drivers are inbound--I'd be happy to host a few for lunch at the BBQ Shop. PM if interested.

We only have one for the whole fleet!

Sounds like someone needs a better source

Was on one as of 5:30 am this morning outbound from SDF. Saw many of them in front on behind us taking off. So I would say they are not grounded.
