There are few jobs, but somehow we all found them, I worked manifest at a dropzone for 4 months, and 182 use to move stuff between our two dropzones at night, and I use to put in the right seat and yoke to get my 25 in type. Now I have 750 hours, and after this summer will have like 1300, including some ME turbine time. You need to be creative, and the internet is not the best resource at all.

Quote: I agree with most of what people said. For anyone out there trying to break into to the industry it is a real hard time. I go to a large four year university sponsored program and we can still not find jobs. I understand that some peoples dream is to fly small planes or corporate but for people who don't have a job right now we are all looking for anything possible. I also will have to say that since this is the Part 91 and Low Time thread there will probably be a lot of posts about people trying to find jobs/hours with low time if you are sick of hearing about them then don't read the threads. I personally enjoy reading every one even though it may have been posted 10-15 times. There usually seems to be something new that pops up every time.

Believe me I would love to not have to rely on the internet for Job Ops. Unfortunately I work a full time internship and its a bit hard to find those oportunities that you found. Man I wish i had that option but it just wasn't in the cars I have found some other oportunities but sometimes there jsut insnt the oportunity to go out to the airfield and find something like that.

I have helped 3 people with their jumpers gigs, and got 2 people actual jobs on here from knowing people, let alone a few other people I have pointed places [edit] out there, you have to look and meet people. I hope some of the people chime in now how I helped them, its not that hard trust me, but if your paying to fly for a job, or say you cant find something, your mistaken.....

Props to you man I am glad that people have been able to be helped. I have been coming to the conclusion that i probably could have a better chance getting involved with something like a jumper gig if i was in one place a little longer. The school year at purdue runs end of august-start of May and the summer season in Seattle runs June to Sept. My largest issue has been not being able to be at a job long enough. I lost out on a job this summer because i wasn't going to be available until columbus day. Rickt86 I was wondering if you happened to know any diving areas near Louiville Kentucky? I am probably gonna end up down there unless I get a job after graduation. I wasn't trying to knock you the other day just had a bad one and it just happened to get dragged over into this. Sorry about that.

I agree, crop dusting jobs are pretty tough to come by. And if you do land one, you really have to know your stuff. Its worth a shot and trying different places, but be prepared.
