Or if you have 80K you can buy a job a "flight follower" which sounds kinda like a dispatcher without the experience or rating.

"...Under terms of the agreement, selected CAPT graduates will be employed in Focus Air's Flight Operations Center as a flight follower for six to eight months. They will then enter training to become a Boeing 747 flight engineer for 12-18 months, followed by training to become a B-747 first officer. Upon successful completion, candidates may be assigned to a flight-crew duty position in as little as eight months after graduating from the CAPT program..."

Pay....Benefits??
As I understand it…..I am still info gathering…..but the pay is in the range of $50 for the FO and $90 for Capt. Not sure what the PFE’s are making. The Medical plan I am not sure of at all. I do know that the crews will be home based and as I understand it there is a 30 hour per month guarantee and a 19 day work month. I wish I knew more. I am definitely not the authority and would like to know more myself. I was asked to come and interview and have not done so…yet. If my current schedule lets up I will interview and I will post the info then.

Heard soon. Also, the pay guarantee is 60 hrs a month..not 30. I am getting better intel now. More when I complete the interview. Heard that they could be doing proving runs this week.

Yep 60 hour guarantee, two month bid period. 59/hour for f/o over 140 for the two month period 65/hour. Paid cash for -200 and -300. Seem to have a ton of cash for a start up.
